Roger Tuivasa-Sheck – Future Rugby League Star

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has the potential to become “one of New Zealand’s greatest ever players” proclaims David Long in the Sydney Morning Herald.

The New Zealander, who grew up in South Auckland said he never wanted to stop pushing his boundaries like some rugby league players who just experience one moment of glory.

“I know a lot of players from back at school who made an achievement and they just lived off that and that’s pretty much where they are, they just stayed there,” he said.

Tuivasa-Sheck has just signed a three-year deal to play for the Warriors next season and will earn more than $800,000 a year.

“The Warriors have given us the opportunity to start me and my partner’s life and hopefully give us time to create our family time now,” he said.

“I think it’s time I move on as a man now.”

The young rugby league player is grateful for the lessons his father has taught him.

After a game his father always pinpointed what he could have done better in his role in the team.

“He always keeps me grounded, he’s my inside voice” said the player.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is a New Zealand professional rugby league player, who played for the Sydney Roosters in the National Rugby League as well as for the New Zealand Kiwis. He was named the New Zealand Rugby League’s 2012 Junior of the Year.
