Richie McCaw Set for Adventure Race

Recently-retired All Blacks captain Richie McCaw will test his outdoor skills in the GODZone – a 550km adventure race in early April 2016 – alongside NZ Rugby Players Association chief executive Rob Nicol.

“We know we are in for one heck of a challenge that will push us all to the limits mentally and physically,” said McCaw, who will compete as part of the Cure Kids team.

“I know we definitely won’t be lacking for motivation by supporting such a great cause like Cure Kids but it is definitely going to be a true test of our grit, determination and resilience.”

After announcing his retirement last month, McCaw hinted at wanting to pursue his other great passion besides rugby and looking to gain a professional helicopter licence in Christchurch.
