New Zealand Listed As One Of The Hardest Countries to Invade

New Zealand, alongside Switzerland and Russia, has been listed as one of the hardest countries in the world to invade.

The humorous article in The Independent cited New Zealand’s geographic inaccessibility as the main reason it would be difficult to invade.

“New Zealand is almost 1,000 miles from the nearest major landmass of Australia, which in turn is not all that close to Asia or anywhere else. So the logistics of getting troops and supplies there would be heinous.”

Invading Australia would not be easy either, because of similar reasons.

However, “starting the invasion of Australia would be easier (than New Zealand), but completing it would be harder.”

The only island, which would be more difficult to invade than New Zealand is Iceland, according to the article.
