NZ Reserve Bank governor Don Brash, has stepped down after 14 years in the top job as central banker to make a new career for himself as a politician. Widely regarded as the architect of New Zealand’s low-inflation economy. Finance Minister Michael Cullen says Brash was “a leading central banker recognized around the world for his commitment to price stability.”
