Meet NZ’s Youngest Fashion Blogger Harley McVicar

Harley McVicar from Christchurch has holidayed with actress Pamela Anderson, made her catwalk debut at the age of two and runs a popular fashion blog – and she’s only eight-years-old.

Harley has attended every New Zealand Fashion Week show since birth and watches from the front row with her grandmother, and founder of the show, Dame Pieter Stewart.

She made her accidental catwalk debut when she was just two-years-old, even gaining the attention of actress Pamela Anderson and designer Richie Rich.

Harley said that she cannot wait to meet “her hero,” designer and winner of Project Runway, New Zealander Sean Kelly.

Harley’s mother Kristen works as a backstage make up artist and said that she has been attending shows for nearly 17 years and shows no signs of slowing down now that Harley is included.

“Harley has always been an amazing little artist – she has been designing fashion since she was two years old,” Stewart said.

New Zealand Fashion Week runs through 30 August. Designers, which include Kate Sylvester, NomD, Zambesi and Hailwood, will show from their autumn/winter 2016 ranges.
