It seemed a place beyond the quotidian sphere, a coming-together of man and nature seemingly impossible in real life. For a few magical days I didn’t harbor panglossian yearnings for other spaces or things; didn’t begrudge unfulfilled promises or missed work. I only thought about the superabundance of natural beauty and how surrendering to it can open up the mind to surprise and wonder, to the serendipity of a passage through a place called Marlborough.” Amen.
