Mark Hunt Wins Over Frank Mir

UFC knockout master Mark Hunt has sent a serious message to the heavyweight division after decimating the legendary Frank Mir on Sunday – “I’m coming to get you guys.”

Despite being 41, Hunt still has title aspirations with the victory over Mir helping him push his claims for a shot at the championship.

“There’s always a winner and a loser,” said Hunt, who invited the crowd to join his after-party.

“Frank’s a good dude and I respect him a lot.”

Hunt finished Mir, who many believe to be a future UFC Hall of Famer, with a brutal right hook just two minutes into the first round. He didn’t even bother to look at the carnage on the mat, instead turning and walking away after delivering the heavy shot.

“I got Frank, he was still in the darklands when I saw him and he wasn’t there so I just left it. He was blacked out,” he told Stuff.co.nz

Heavy hitter Hunt, a New Zealand-born fighter of Samoan heritage, had the crowd firmly in his corner at Brisbane Entertainment Centre and stole the show at Fight Night 85 as UFC returned to Australian shores for the first time since November’s epic UFC 193 in Melbourne.
