Lonely’s lingerie

Auckland-based label Lonely Hearts has recently released a new lingerie line, Lonely, inspired by vintage corsetry and designed by Aimee McFarlane, Helene Morris and Steve Ferguson. With all bras featuring a Seventies-look soft-cup design, the debut collection of 14 styles launched in January. Fabrics include silks, printed chiffons, satin, lace and hand-dyed polka dots, often with velvet and leather trims. In addition to a number of small boutiques across New Zealand and Australia, the collection is available at lonelyheartsclub, which was launched this month. Marie Claire UK has named Lonely Hearts as “One of the hottest designers and coolest trendsetters from around the globe”. Lonely Hearts claimed the title of New Zealand’s hottest up-and-coming fashion exporter after being named the winner of the 2009 DHL Express Fashion Export Scholarship.
