It’s All About Murray

NZ comedian Rhys Darby earned a special mention in The Guardian‘s entertainment guide awards for 2007. Darby was named Best Supporting Character for his role as beleaguered band manager Murray Hewitt in Flight of the Conchords. Guardian: “Larry Sanders had Hank Kingsley, Seinfeld had George Costanza, now The Flight Of The Conchords has Murray. It’s all about Murray.” Darby appears alongside comic compatriots Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement in the HBO series, which has become cult viewing in NZ, the US and UK.
