Hottest tickets play NY

New Zealand artists Ruby Frost, winner of 42 Below’s 42Unheard competition, Zowie, Street Chant, Kids Of 88, Electric Wire Hustle and Lawrence Arabia performed at the CMJ Music Marathon festival in New York City on October 19 as part of the NZ@CMJ Showcase, one of the festival’s opening night events. The inaugural NZ@CMJ Showcase, held in 27, was dubbed “one of the hottest tickets at CMJ” by music magazine NME, at which Liam Finn, Cut Off Your Hands and The Brunettes featured. “New Zealand knows how to party with style,” vice president of content at CMJ Network Rev Moose said. “I’m always impressed with the quality of artists represented by this relatively small population from the other side of the globe. The Kiwis have done a stellar job branding their nationality as a collection of stunning sounds from deserving new talent.”
