Daniel Vettori was named Man of the Match for his career-best bowling effort (5 for 30) and Stephen Fleming Man of the Series for his consistently brilliant batting and unshakeable captaincy. The win was the Black Caps’ 13th out of 15 one-day international matches this year, and 9th in a row. The side now enjoys its highest ever ODI ranking – second equal with South Africa on 113 points, behind Australia on 136.
