All Blacks Celebrate Hong Kong Sevens Title with Haka in Thunderstorm

After knocking England out of the Hong Kong Sevens with an impressive 26-7 score line, the All Blacks Sevens stripped off their shirts and performed a poignant haka in the pouring rain, which not only broke a three-year drought but also boosted the worldwide popularity of the traditional Maori war dance.

The All Blacks Sevens won their third tournament this season in style, running in four tries to claim their 11th title in Hong Kong and first since 2011.

Mashable introduces the clip with a bold statement: “Rugby is officially your new favourite sport. You’re welcome.”

New Zealand has a month to let the victory soak in before trying to secure its fourth straight series crown in the UK in May.
