Back on the Wards

Auckland-born actor Martin Henderson is profiled by Canadian television station site Global Lethbridge. Henderson, who currently lives in Los Angeles, will soon appear on the American small screen as “legendary Dr Ben Keeton” in the creator of Grey’s Anatomy new television series Off the Map where doctors travel to the end of the world to rediscover why they had initially wanted to become doctors. Henderson has also appeared on the big screen in Flyboys, opposite James Franco and Jean Reno, and the Australian film Little Fish, opposite Sam Neill and Kate Blanchett. He studied at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse, during which time he was seen in the off-Broadway play Ophelia Thinks Harder at the Samuel Beckett Theatre. Henderson also starred in Shortland Street, where he played the character of “Stuart Neilson” from 1992 to 1995. Off the Map will premiere on January 12, 211 on ABC.
