"Your speech embodied everything I have tried to convince people of in New Zealand ever since I returned here from Hong Kong. Let’s celebrate who we are and our achievements."
National Marketing Manager – Auckland, New Zealand

"Great wakeup call."
Consultant – Auckland, New Zealand

"This is exactly what New Zealand needs to rise out of its slumber and start to perform. The only thing holding us back is a National Mind Set. I am going to do my bit to change this. I have moved from the North to this under-performing community of 450 people. Time will tell."
Civil Engineer – Blackball, New Zealand

"Very inspiring and thought provoking."
Technical Consultant, IT – London, England

"I love the NZEDGE idea - I hope you can take this idea further. It certainly means something to me!"

"The edge is a striking concept. It certainly works for me! I am firm believer in the power of the positive thought and in "living every moment". I welcome your initiative."
Lawyer – London, England

"For the first time in my life I felt lousy about being an American. You lucky Kiwis. You are what America once was before Wall Street came to Main Street. It may be the last genuine place on earth. Keep up the great work. you're a pleasure to read."
Advertising Director, New York, USA

"I really love the approach and agree completely with the sentiments you promote."
Chairman, IT Company – Auckland, New Zealand

"You have to make the 747 happen! Call Richard Branson and Adidas. If Air New Zealand won’t make it happen Branson will, especially if there is an angle in it for him. I see it as one of the marketing coups of the century and is too good an opportunity not to explore further."
Supply Chain Manager – Auckland, New Zealand

"I admire your balls! Please do one thing: whenever the knocking machine swings into action, say what you are saying EVEN LOUDER!"
Media Relations Manager – Wellington, New Zealand

"Great site!"
Investment Banker – Auckland, New Zealand

"Fantastic vision - everyone I come across will be hearing about this site. It's great to read your thoughts on this and that you're working with off the edge thinkers such as Laurie Anderson. Have you met Brian Eno? One thing I hope for is that this passion for our country rubs off on us, the citizens who don't celebrate our country enough - sure we do when sports involved, but generally we're all a bit dispassionate about our country. If all New Zealanders held the belief that we're sitting on most inspiring, innovative and exciting country in the world (and a potential goldmine at that), wouldn't we have an easier task of promoting ourselves to the world? There are a lot of ambassadors out there. We're not very good at patting ourselves on the back and why do we lack so much self-confidence – kiwi's tend to carry so much negativity, which irritates the hell out me. We need to sing our praises louder and more often."
Communications Consultant – Auckland, New Zealand

"Your innovation is a breath of fresh air. We strongly support the nzedge.com campaign and its magnetic and innovative approach to the marketplace."
Investment Banker – Auckland, New Zealand

"Interesting and practical ideas. Good on ya."
Company Director – Auckland, New Zealand.

"I've only read the "concept" speech but I like a lot of the ideas expressed. The journey from source to sea ends naked on the beach at the bottom of the cliffs. Cultural fascists and the trickle down mafia working hand in hand. We are the makers of dreams! Our voices are being heard. Ulla baia Inkaia luxorbah - let magic be upon us all."
Consultant – Auckland, New Zealand

"All my life I've watched my fellow New Zealanders and wondered why we so often fail to keep the promise of our wonderful 'can do' potential. I think that the introspection you speak of is the problem. It is the closest answer I've seen. This inner resourcefulness which we seem naturally blessed with here which refreshes and inspires has a flip side. We can end up darkly brooding; and it is this that breeds the cynicism, criticism and boredom. I fear it is worse than this though. This very negative susceptibility is actually lent a curious currency by all manner of commentators. In a small society there is no bigger handicap than to be thought a fool and in small town New Zealand. I think many prefer to hide their light rather than be cast by the commentators as the local idiot. It just may be that we need people too large to be cast down to say the things you are saying to give everyone courage enough to break out of this psychic prison where mediocrity is ingrained as a social norm. Thank you and may God bless your endeavours."
Project Manager – Auckland, New Zealand

"Great site and great idea."

Soldier, New Zealand Army – Auckland, New Zealand

"I want to thank you for the inspirational speech. You are a truly crazy nutter with a fabulous dream and the belief to achieve it."

"Take a globe. Focus on 150 degrees east and the Tropic of Capricorn and we are the only country on this side of the planet."
Chemical Engineer – Auckland, New Zealand

"Love the energy. There is lots out there."
Researcher – Auckland, New Zealand

"Great idea. Let's hope New Zealand becomes a sea of tall poppies – standing tall!"
Brand-builder – Auckland, New Zealand

"I am currently working on a review of my organisation’s brand. My gut feel is we need to be more contemporary, more relevant in the way that we present ourselves. Your site has helped me gain a clearer vision for our company. Thank you."
Marketing Manager – Auckland, New Zealand

"We do suffer a deficit in the leadership stakes here not only in areas of business but also in terms of some of our internal and personal values. It seems that the political system has an aversion to throwing up statesmen or women in the Churchillian mould. I guess that this dearth of national vision and leadership is the very reason that Kevin Roberts was raised up to speak up and out."
Lawyer – Auckland, New Zealand

"Go for it."
Web Designer – Auckland, New Zealand

"I still believe this path of enthusiasm and excitement is a much better path for New Zealand tourism and all other New Zealand businesses to follow. Is this something that will build of its own accord like the silver fern flags?"
Strategy Analyst, Banking – Auckland, New Zealand

"We need a visionary project approach on a global basis which is market lead. This is a good start. It needs good common sense logic and a holistic framework with zest and momentum which it will no doubt have for the success envisioned."
Project Development Consultant – Auckland, New Zealand
