 Kevin Roberts is a prominent international business leader, a passionate advocate for New Zealand, and a provocative speaker on contemporary issues at many of the world's leading business forums.
Kevin is the New York-based CEO Worldwide of Saatchi & Saatchi, one of the world's leading creative organizations with a team of 6000 people across 150 offices in 86 countries. Appointed in 1997, he previously held international marketing and leadership positions with Mary Quant (UK and Europe), Gillette (Europe), Procter & Gamble (Europe and Middle East), PepsiCo (Middle East and Canada), and Lion Nathan (New Zealand and Australia). He is a member of the Publicis Groupe Directoire, the leadership team of Saatchi & Saatchi's parent company.
Kevin's published marketing and management books include Lovemarks: the Future Beyond Brands (18 languages),
sisomo: the future on screen, and Diesel: XXX Years of Diesel
Communication. With colleagues from Waikato's Management School, Clive Gilson, Mike Pratt and Ed Weymes, he co-wrote
Peak Performance: Lessons for Business from the World's Leading Sports Organizations.
Kevin was CEO in Residence at Cambridge University's Judge Business School from 2001 until 2009. He holds Honorary Professorships at the University of Auckland Business School, the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, and Lancaster University, England. Kevin was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Waikato in 1998, in recognition for his contribution to business and sport. In 2009 he received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from Lancaster University and an Honorary Doctorate in Letters from the International University in Geneva.
Kevin is a trustee of the Auckland charity, the Turn Your Life Around Trust. A former director of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union, he is the current Chairman of the Board of USA Rugby. He was appointed a Director of Telecom, New Zealand's largest publicly-listed company, in 2008.
Born in Lancaster in the north of England, Kevin attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School. In 1989 he moved with his family to Auckland. Kevin, who is married to Rowena Roberts, has two daughters and two sons. A New Zealand citizen, he has homes in Auckland, New York, St Tropez and Grasmere in the English Lake District.
